WHAT IS GYZEL'S CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BLEND?

Gyzel’s chocolate protein blend combines organic plant-based protein powders, organic cacao, organic prebiotic fibres and magnesium bisglycinate - created with the intention of making it easy to increase protein macros whilst naturally reducing appetite and cravings. Designed to be used as a chocolate dessert shake as well as a protein shake, each serving provides 20g of protein, including all nine essential amino acids, and has a mildly sweet chocolatey nutty flavour.

DAIRY FREE (NO WHEY OR LACTOSE)
Our protein blend is comprised of minimally processed plant-based proteins specifically to avoid the inflammation that can result from the hormones in dairy-based products, and to provide an option for those who prefer to avoid lactose.

NO ADDED SUGARS:
We have added no sugars - a low amount of naturally occurring sugars from prebiotic fibre adds a mild sweetness that complements the nutty notes from pea protein and cacao. However, if you prefer a sweeter experience, we recommend adding up to a tbsp of our organic BON SWEET SUGAR per 35g blend serving for a light caramel flavour.

HOW IS GYZEL'S MYLK CHOCOLATE DIFFERENT TO OTHER DAIRY-FREE CHOCOLATE?
FLAVOUR:Our mylk chocolate bar is light and creamy, with a subtle sweetness.

NUTRIENT DENSITY:
Each ingredient has been selected for its nutritional benefits:
Raw Cacao Butter:
Anti-inflammatory, a good source of vitamin D2 and minerals including potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc and magnesium.
Raw Cacao:
Anti-inflammatory, a very good source of polyphenols, associated with positive effects on cardiovascular health and oxidative stress
Gluten-free Oats:
Anti-inflammatory, good for digestive health and a good source of manganese, required for good brain and nervous system function.
Tigernuts:
A good source of antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E and insoluble fibre, which aids digestion.
CREATED EXPLICITY WITH THE INTENTION TO ENCOURAGE REDUCED CRAVINGS:
We have replaced standard chocolate bar sugar content (frequently a leading ingredient) with a small amount of moderate G.I. coconut sugar, balanced with added plant-based protein to reduce the impact on blood sugar levels.
HAND MADE IN SMALL BATCHES:
Our chocolate is made by hand (stone ground and hand tempered) in small batches from raw ingredients in a small kitchen in North London.
We do not outsource manufacturing and pay close attention to all ingredients at every stage of the process, grinding our ingredients for c.36 hours until we have a smooth and creamy chocolate liqueur ready for tempering and moulding.

BON SWEET

WHAT IS GYZEL'S BON SWEET SUGAR?

Gyzel’s Bon Sweet is organic coconut sugar, with no additives or preservatives. Coconut sugar is an unrefined sugar created from the sap collected from the flower buds of coconut trees. While it contains a similar number of calories to table sugar (c.45 calories per tbsp), it has a lower glycaemic index and is therefore less likely to stimulate appetite cravings. It can be used in the same way as regular sugar and has a light caramel flavour.
